Raw Answers - Exploring Tech Exhibition
In October 2016 I took part in Hyper Islands 'Exploring Tech' exhibition. Together with 4 other people, I had 4 weeks to make an interactive art piece on the theme 'Raw Answers'. We thought "What is rawer than the human body?". With that in mind, we created a check-in-entrance for the exhibition where you signed in with your heartbeat and temperature via sensors connected to an Arduino. The Arduino then threw your data to one of the 800 LED lights on the walls.
A big part of the project for me was leading the creative process to get to the idea with the wall, and then developing the concept. I also managed most of the sponsorship deals, such as getting the 800 LED lights, other electronics, and the building material.
Of course I was a part of building the big piece as well.
Did I mention that I failed woodwork in school?
